What should we ask about moving our existing calibration history?+
Give the vendor a small sample containing repeated serial numbers, multiple certificates for one tool, retired equipment, and an unresolved result. Ask how identities, original attachments, dates, and review history will be mapped and exported afterward. A successful spreadsheet upload alone does not demonstrate that the history remains usable.
How do we compare total cost when vendors quote different packages?+
Use the same number of users, sites, instruments, files, and expected annual service records. Separate subscription or licenses from migration, training, instrument interfaces, portals, support, and implementation. Confirm which features require another product or module. This page does not present quote-based products as price-equivalent.
What should a data-export demonstration include?+
Ask to retrieve one instrument with its related service and review records, original certificate files, timestamps, and identifiers. Check whether exported rows retain the links needed to reconstruct that history. Do not assume a CSV export also packages attachments or every workflow decision; verify the exact product and edition.
Is there a free calibration management option?+
Jodoo has a free platform plan for up to five users with usage limits; some features, including the calendar, require a paid plan. A vendor trial is not a permanent free edition. Confirm app features, file storage, automation usage, and access needs before relying on a free plan for ongoing equipment control.
Does buying specialist software establish compliance?+
No. Evaluate the software against your intended use, procedures, access controls, records, technical requirements, and validation obligations. Vendor features can support your process, but do not replace qualified review or establish that your specific deployment meets a standard or regulation.
