One production kit needs two levels of truth

Customer requirement

What the shoot needs

  • Camera class and recording format
  • Lens coverage and mounts
  • Batteries, media, support and monitoring
  • Pickup, shoot and return window

Actual handover

What left the camera cage

  • Body and lens serial numbers
  • Approved substitutes
  • Accessory quantities
  • Condition and customer acceptance

An incomplete kit is not an available kit

Adapt fields to the gear—not the other way around

Camera teams may add mount, sensor, codec, firmware, shutter count, filter thread or case layout. Jodoo lets a trained administrator change the form and views as the inventory changes while retaining the common rental, customer and custody relationships.

Questions camera rental teams ask

Why track camera bodies and lenses separately?

Their serial identity, value, compatibility, condition and maintenance history differ. A kit can group them for a job while each durable item retains its own record.

Can a booking reserve a camera model before choosing the exact body?

Yes. Capture product demand first, then allocate the exact available unit closer to prep. This keeps the customer promise separate from a premature serial assignment.

What should be recorded at camera checkout?

Keep the rental, customer, exact body and lenses, accessories, condition, meter or shutter count where useful, handover time and customer acceptance.

How should substitutions be documented?

Record the requested item, supplied item, reason, customer approval and any rate effect. Do not overwrite the original requirement; it explains why the final kit differs.

Is the sample App a digital asset manager?

No. It manages physical rental custody and condition, not footage ingest, media cataloging, rights or post-production asset management.
