Which records matter for a construction equipment rental?
Keep the customer and site, requested window, equipment class, exact unit, delivery or pickup plan, handover condition, meter out and in, extension decision, return condition and maintenance disposition.
Can the App manage both customer pickup and depot delivery?
Yes. Fulfilment can be a controlled choice with different instructions, owners and views. Route optimization and carrier dispatch are not included in the example.
How should meter readings be used?
Record meter out and meter in against the exact unit and rental. Use them as operational evidence for usage review and maintenance planning. Billing formulas need your verified contract rules and accounting process.
What if a customer requests an extension that overlaps the next job?
The extension should enter review with the later reservation visible. The coordinator can reject it, choose another unit or change the later booking. The current due date should not be silently overwritten.
Does this replace fleet telematics or preventive maintenance software?
No. Use telematics for live location and machine data, and a CMMS when work orders, parts and preventive maintenance depth are central. Jodoo can coordinate the rental exception and the handoff to those systems.
