The workbook is an XLSX file with a blank sheet and a worked example. Formulas and dropdowns are provided for the prepared twenty-row area; extend those ranges when adding more rows. It does not provide approvals or an automatic connection to the Jodoo app.

Read the example before using the blank sheet
A confirmed empty location
The B-02 filter row contains an actual zero count against zero recorded stock. It shows a match instead of appearing uncounted.
A count still missing
The B-01 filter row has a book quantity but no physical count. Its status remains “Not counted” and its difference stays blank.
Move from a worksheet to a shared count process
Keep Excel for a controlled, small count
A named counter and reviewer can use the sheet for a bounded batch. Agree file ownership, a cutoff and how the completed version will be retained. Avoid multiple copies with conflicting quantities.
Use Jodoo when the work crosses people
Link each observation to the item-location and count run, preserve a recount as a separate record, and route discrepancy and adjustment decisions through assigned approval tasks. Adapt condition fields and review responsibilities as the process changes.
Using the count sheet
Should the book quantity be visible to the counter?
That depends on your count procedure. The supplied sheet includes book quantity so it can calculate differences. For a blind count, prepare a separate counter copy without book quantities and keep the comparison with the reviewer. Hiding a column is not a security control.
What is the difference between an empty quantity cell and zero?
An empty counted-quantity cell means the item has not been counted. A numeric zero means the counter checked and found no stock. The template preserves that distinction and does not calculate a variance for an uncounted row.
Can one SKU appear on several rows?
Yes, when each row represents a different location or another deliberate count distinction. Give each line a unique ID and keep the unit consistent. Do not accidentally count the same SKU at the same location twice.
Can I use the sheet for a barcode stocktake?
You can enter identifiers from a keyboard-style scanner, subject to your device and Excel setup. The workbook does not provide scanner configuration, automatic repeated-scan quantity increments or offline synchronization.
