What is production planning software?

It helps translate demand into planned quantities, dates, resources, readiness decisions, and production releases. Some products also include MRP, forecasting, detailed scheduling, or ERP functions.

What is the difference between planning and scheduling?

Planning decides what and how much should be produced, when it is needed, and whether it is feasible. Scheduling assigns released work to more specific times, sequences, shifts, and work centers.

Can Jodoo calculate MRP from a BOM?

Jodoo is not an MRP calculation engine. It can capture and route material-readiness results, approvals, exceptions, and actions produced by ERP or MRP systems.

Can planners change fields and views without code?

Yes. A trained administrator can add readiness criteria, decision routes, filtered horizons, reminders, and dashboards while preserving existing records.
